Product Description When Scottish undertaker Richard (DAVID TENNANT, TV's Dr Who, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) is smitten with beautiful American tourist Barbara (VINESSA SHAW, Two Lovers, 3:10 to Yuma, Eyes Wide Shut), he leaves his dull life behind and follows her back to Los Angeles. Thrown in at the deep end (and unable to drive), he discovers that life in Southern Calfornia is far from straightforward. A hilarious fish-out-of-water love story with some surprising guest stars.

| Customer Reviews: I liked it.. December 26, 2009 Amanda O. Roberts (Austin,Tx) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had been wanting to buy this movie ever since I had heard of it coming out in Reigon 1 DVD format from the David Tennant website. It's not your regular slapstick comedy you usually get in the United States around that time but if you like movies like Juno I would say go a head and watch it. In my opinion the acting was really good and the realness of the characters really brought it out. The plot line is a tad cliched but not to the point where it would be the same old thing...
Not your run of the mill comedy December 15, 2009 Misstery (USA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
LA without a Map is not your run of the mill comedy, that's for sure, but well worth the trip. David Tennant (Dr. Who) plays a mortician who journeys from the Midlands of England to the huge metropolis which seems totally upside down as he searches for a girl who just showed up in his cemetery one dismal afternoon. Needless to say, the girl is abhorred by the arrival of the naive and pining loser. However he is not to be put off by her total dismissal and sets out to win her over with the help of his hero, Johnny Depp who silently and humorously advises from the confines of a poster from the movie "Dead Man." Tennant's unfortunate encounters with Los Angeles and its colorful inhabitants make for a hilarious journey toward his goal. Even though it seems the hero would finally end up with the girl, it falls apart and he seeks wisdom in the visage of a ghostly figure in the local cemetery... who looks all too familiar. Anouk Amiee and the real Johnny Depp make a surprise appearance at the end. Good film for any admirers of David Tennant, Victoria Shaw or Johnny Depp. My version came in Region 2/PAL.
