Celebrate Hanukkah with song, story, and puppetry. This 159-minute DVD features a 30-minute video program and an audio-only program by Debbie Friedman. In the video portion, "Hanukkah Tales & Tunes," K.J. the puppet wants to learn about Hanukkah. K.J.'s human friends introduce him to the stories of Antiocus Epiphanes, the miracle of the holy oil, and the dreidel through songs like "Miracles Aren't Just Magic," an enactment of "Galya and the Goblin," and heavily choreographed dances. Dan Crow and Fred Sokolow perform "The Dreidel Song" and Caren Glasser sings a "Hanukkah Medley." Debbie Friedman's "Miracles and Wonders: A Hanukkah Musical" and "A Purim Musical" (previously released on CD) comprise the audio portion of the DVD. Friedman's pure voice is pleasing and her music and lyrics bring Hanukkah traditions to life. The "Purim Musical" consists of songs written from the points of view of five major Purim figures. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST HANUKKAH VIDEOS EVER MADE! Our entire family loves watching it and most of the time we are also singing & dancing along with all the great songs & dance routines!

This movie was the most heartwarming and uplifting film i have ever seen. The acting by the young and talented David Brand is unparralled. I recommend Hanukkah Tales and Tunes to everyone of all ages and religions!

This album is very entertaining and fun to listen to. I personally just love dancing to each soundtrack. I won this album in a compition in my shule. I had no idea what the songs were about. But then I tried it. The songs are not complicated and are easy to sing along to.I reccomend this album very highly.

This is very upbeat, my children, ages 3-12, love watching this over and over again-and we don't mind! It is educational and enjoyable. The coordination of the dancing and singing is just wonderful, the skit is funny as well. I'm so glad something fun exists to explain the basics of Hannukah-we keep singing the songs to ourselves, even when not watching it.

The DVD is truly one of the worst pieces of "entertainment" I have ever seen. Horrendous acting, dreadful songs, and a goblin(???!!!) make this a true affront to the beauty that is Hanukkah and a slap in the face to Jews everywhere. Resist the bastardization of this sacred holiday and AVOID THIS TRIPE AT ALL COSTS!!! If I could give it a negative rating I would.
