    Product Description
A teenage girl's downhill spiral into drug addiction. A move to a new school in a new city puts great pressure on Alice a high school student. Hoping to be liked she tries desperately to be friendly with the school's "popular" students. Eventually she is invited to a party and she is introduced to drugs. This is a true story based on the actual diary of a teenage girl caught in the vicious web of drug addiction and her desperate fight back to the real world. William Shatner plays a role light-years removed from that of Captain Kirk in Star Trek and Jamie Smith-Jackson is utterly convincing as the young girl trying to cope with the humiliation which drug abuse can.System Requirements:Running Time: 73 minsFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: DRAMA UPC: 018619109489 Manufacturer No: JEF10948

3 out of 5 stars Go Ask Alice   August 31, 2008

I bought this movie after i read the book in one night. I was so amazed by the book that i had to see the movie and see how other minds played out the charcters. I did enjoy watching the movie, however, i was disappointed by the acting and the way the plot was set out. It usually happens that you read a book then see that movie and there are always changes to the movie to fit all the excitement and adventure in 90 minutes. I think the directers might have taken the changes a little too far and almost changed the whole experience behind the book for me. I would recommend reading Go Ask Alice the book before seeing the movie, things will play out a lot better and make a lot more since if you read the book first.

    1 out of 5 stars Horrible   June 28, 2008

I read the book, and the book changed my life, but this movie is horrible. It cuts out very important events and people. I don't recommend it if you've read the book already...

3 out of 5 stars Nostalgic and still meaningful   June 2, 2008

My daughter, who is 11, wanted this movie as she recently read the book "Go Ask Alice". I had never seen the movie, so I was happy to find it on Amazon. The movie is a little cheesy and definitely dated, but still had a good message in it. My daughter and I enjoyed watching it together.

I found this movie very informative. It tells the story of a young girl caught up in a world of drug use. It lets children know and see how drugs can control your life, and what it can do to you. I rate this movie a 4*. My children all watched it and now know the dangers that can arise.

1 out of 5 stars Go Ask Alice for a Better Movie   December 21, 2007
    Kevin C. Chiaravalle (Reston, Virginia)
This is a laughably bad made-for-TV movie from the early 1970's. The acting is REAL bad. Andy Griffith cannot help this and he's probably embarrassed to be linked to it. The movie takes its title from the Jefferson Airplane song "White Rabbit" and is sung by someone other than Grace Slick. The story is a well-meaning warning about the dangers of teenage drug abuse but it is a poorly done, almost incomprehensible story. I would guess "stoners" would find it hilarious. See "Requiem for a Dream" if you want a good story about the dangers of drug abuse.
