Product Description The story of robin hood and his meeting up with little john and finding he has a long lost half brother. He also falls for his bestfiends lovely sister marian. Together they fight the evil sheriff of nottingham to protect king richards land. Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 09/14/2004 Starring: Kevin Costner Alan Rickman Run time: 143 minutes Rating: Pg13 Director: Kevin Reynolds
Amazon.com Kevin Costner's lousy English accent is a small obstacle in this often exciting version of the Robin Hood fable. That aside, it's refreshing to have a preface to the old story in which we meet the robber hero of Sherwood Forest as a soldier in King Richard's Crusades, coming home to find his people under siege from the cruelties of the Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). After Robin and his community of outcasts and fighters take to the trees, director Kevin Reynolds (Fandango, 187) is on more familiar narrative ground, and he goes for the gusto with lots of original action (Robin shoots two arrows simultaneously from his bow in two directions). Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, as Marion, makes a convincing damsel in distress, and Morgan Freeman brings dignity to his role as Robin's Moor friend. Alan Rickman, however, gets the most attention for his scene-chewing role as the rotten sheriff, an almost campy performance that is highly entertaining but perhaps a little out of sorts with the rest of the film. --Tom Keogh

Love the Movie - 2 Sided Disc, Not So Much November 9, 2008 I love this movie. I owned it on VHS and was looking to upgrade, so I bought this DVD. It's a 2 sided disc so you have to turn the disc over half way through the movie just to watch the rest. Lame. I was also a bit disappointed that the video by Bryan Adams wasn't at the end with the credits like it was on the VHS. It was also at the end of the movie in the movie theatre too, so I'm not sure why they would exclude it on the DVD. I love this movie and hate to give it any thing less than a 4, but because of the DVD format, I'm giving it a 2.
Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves CD November 3, 2008
we recieved our CD quickly and are pleased with it. You must stop and turn the CD over to watch the second half of the movie. We are puzzled by this. Grandsons liked the movie.
Great transaction. October 31, 2008 I accidentally purchased two copies when I ordered and had no problem returning the extra copy.
Great Movie - Horrible DVD October 27, 2008 I wished I had peaked at the reviews. I had NO idea that this movie, in DVD form, was split! You have to flip the DVD over to watch the rest of the movie. I was SHOCKED! I thought I was safe purchasing a film that I know and love but I was not. This COMPLETELY RUINS the entire viewing experience!
top 50 romantic movies!! October 23, 2008 I loved this movie when it came out. I had to have it...I am fan for romantic movies.
