Amazon.com Is there anything scarier than clowns? Of course not. And who knows scary better than Stephen King? You see where we're going. It puts a malevolent clown (given demented life by a powdered, red-nosed Tim Curry) front and center, as King's fat novel gets the TV-movie treatment. Even at three hours plus, the action is condensed, but an engaging Stand by Me vibe prevails for much of the running time. The seven main characters, as adolescents, conquered a force of pure evil in their Maine hometown. Now, the cackling Pennywise is back, and they must come home to fight him--or, should we say, It--again. Admitting the TV-movie trappings and sometimes hysterical performances, this is a genuinely gripping thriller. As so often with King, the basic idea (the bond formed during a childhood trauma) is clean and powerful, a lifeline anchored in reality that leads us to the supernatural. --Robert Horton

Stephen King's It DVD November 24, 2008 I bought this item . Because I saw the movie via DVD rental . From my local Blockbuster video rental store. The story I thought is very good. unlike most horror movie's /which I'm a big fan of the genra. This movie has a very good story to it. Eventhough the DVD rental was quite watchable I had a little troube with it skipping and freezing up/but it was still good enough fore me to descover a classic. So I could not find the movie in my area. So I looked online and found it on Amazon. So I bought it online . The DVD is in much better condition then the copy that I rented. I had no trouble at all with it and was delighted that the movie s also widesscreen. A aspect raio that I much prefer over Full screen. Anyone who is thinking of buying this DVD can't go wrong with Amazon .com. I'm very satisfied with my purcase from Amazon.

It November 24, 2008 I only watched one side because I didn't realize it was two sided. The Side I watched was when they are older. It was ok, but I've heard the other side is much better.
Stephen's King It November 13, 2008 This is the most horrific movie that I have ever watched. It is the cause I hate Clowns eversince I was young.. Go watch.. If you dare... Haha...
"We" used to love It when we were children October 27, 2008 I loved It as a child... I found It scary... but that was 18 years ago when It was new back then and I was around 12 years old. Then I read the novel 4 years ago.
I watched it again and found it quite different! The acting is bad, the effects are stupid (ok, maybe because it was for TV and made in 1990) and all in all it doesn't compare to the novel by any meaning! Maybe it's the novel that made me feel that the movie/mini-series is stupid.
Surprisingly, when I told my friends, who also watched it 12 years ago, that I re-watched It and I found it stupid, they completely agreed and gave the same comments! We all found It scary when we were children, but now it's not. Maybe you want to show it to your children (12 or older) who might think of it as a cool scare. I'm not sure.
Movie Rating October 13, 2008 The movie was really good and it was easy ordering it from Amazon. Thanks Amazon
