| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com This animated feature based on the popular E.B. White book for children--about the special relationships between Wilbur the pig, Charlotte the spider, and Templeton the rat--is a straight adaptation from the page, with songs added. Endearing, heartbreaking, and ultimately wise, it may not please all of those with a strong attachment to the book, but it works all the same. --Tom Keogh

Charlotte's Web (full screen edition) January 6, 2009 Carol A. Mcnally (Clarkston, MI) Although this item was chosen as a gift, the recipients are thoroughly enjoying it. The parents saw it as children and are now viewing it with their children.
Kids LOVE IT-better than the new version. November 23, 2008 elei I bought this for my kids after we read the book. All of my kids age 2, 4 and 6 love it. To me, all the old stuff is much better than the modern versions. Gotta love the classics.
Charlotte's Web, a classic for young children August 2, 2008 Mary Mastro (Essex Junction, VT) My three year old grandson loved Charlotte's Web. He sat through the whole thing which is unusual for him. Someday I hope he reads the book, which is so well written...
WHAT?!! No bonus features?! April 22, 2008 Mr Groovy 70s (Hobart, IN) Okay, all right, sorry if I had to *slam* such an wonderful, endearing classic (which it happens to be, for the record, so no sarcasm intended here), but what I don't get or understand is how Paramount could push something like this WITHOUT any bonus features (commentaries, behind-the-scenes info, and so on). I even once read where Debbie Reynolds said it took her two to three days for her to record the voice of Charlotte. Ever since 1973 (when CW first came out), children's TV/movies have taken nothing but a severe nose-dive, to the point where all you see nowadays is TOTAL CRAP. Who cares how Saturday morning-ish CW was, in terms of animation and the voice cast? All it shows is the versatility of both put out by Hanna-Barbera; there are probably those of us who don't seem to realize how good we had it then!!
A must have! March 28, 2008 Vivian C. Marxuach My children, who are now all grown up, must have watched this movie when it originally came out a hundred times. I purchased it for my grandson and he loves it just as much. Much better than the remake, the music is wonderful and it makes it special.
