So Reel Classics takes a movie that was not filmed in widescreen, and turns it into a widescreen. Want to know how they did it? No, not by cropping the top and bottom. Take another guess.... They did it by stretching the print. Everyone's face looks like they've been overdosing on Prednisone for a month, cars appear as wide as they do long, etc, etc. Actually, the quality of the public domain print is very good - it's the deliberate turning of this release into a widescreeen movie that makes the DVD unwatchable.
