Product Description Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 11/27/2007 Rating: R
Amazon.com The most unlikely horror-movie icon this side of Leprechaun, the homicidal doll Chucky has blossomed into one of the most recognizable faces of fright fare over the last two decades, and this double-disc set chronicles four of his most monstrous misadventures. The original--and still quite creepy--Child's Play feature (from 1988) is not included in the set (that title is owned by MGM, and this set is a Universal release), so the Killer DVD Collection kicks off with the more formulaic Child's Play 2 (1990) and 3 ('91, directed by Lost producer/director Jack Bender), both of which are saved only by veteran character actor Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky. The series received a much-needed shot in the arm in 1998 with Bride of Chucky, an over-the-top revamp that dispensed with the tired horror-movie mechanics and dove headfirst into a gleeful mix of camp and gore; much of the credit for that film's success must go to Hong Kong director Ronny Yu (Bride with White Hair), who imparts much visual flair to the proceedings and Jennifer Tilly as an amoral moll whose attempt to free the killer that possesses Chucky results in another monster doll on the loose. The fifth (and to date, final) Child's Play/Chucky feature, Seed of Chucky, rounds out the set; it strives for the humor-horror quotient of Yu's film, and yields mixed results. No extras are featured on the first two sequels, but both Bride and Seed offer up commentaries and featurettes for the devoted Chucky fans. Bride gets two commentaries--one with Yu, and the other with Dourif, Tilly, and scriptwriter Don Mancini, while Seed's commentary has Mancini (who was promoted to director) and Tilly. Making-of featurettes for both features are also included, as well as a clip of Tilly on The Tonight Show. None of these supplements will be new to the longtime Child's Play collector--all have been released on previous single and multi-disc sets--and buyers should know that they will find the R-rated versions of Bride and Seed here, and not the unrated versions (which have also been previously released). So it's fans looking to fill in the Chucky gap in their DVD libraries that will benefit the most from the Killer DVD Collection. --Paul Gaita

Good set of horror flicks at a good price. December 19, 2008 GadgetGuy (USA) For the price, you can't beat this set of films. Too bad the first, and best film, "Child's Play", is not included. Nothing beats the original killer doll film, "Trilogy Of Terror", which this is might have been influenced by. Horror fans can't forget to mention one of the even earlier original killer doll stories, "Talky Tina", from the original Twilight Zone series.
Chucky Never Says Die August 29, 2008 Cassandra Ahmad (Houston, TX) This collection I thought was a wonderfull bargain for the price. I have always been a Childs Play fan. So I thought it was wonderfull when they offerd almost all the Chucky movies together. I especially was suprised when i recieved the DVD. I thought the cover would be just a picture. But actually it is a pop up picture, so it looks like Chucky's about ready to jump out and get you. Always the first 2 movies will always be the best in the chucky series. But still they manage to suprise you sometimes. Child's Play 1 and 2 were the best. The 3rd I did not like at all, there was no story line, and I found it boring. Then the Bride Of Chucky took it right back to the top again. Then unfortunatly The Seed Of Chucky took it right back down again. I probably disliked this movie the most. there was absolutly no good story line and actually it confused me. Like if you started watching this movie in the middle you would never be able to figure out what is going on. Still I definetly think this is a good buy for any Chucky fan. just you have to make sure to buy the 1st one seperatly to make your collection complete.

These chucky movies were okay not that good. Just a killer that got hes soul transported into a good guy doll, and looking for a way to get a body back, so he found one kid named andy and tried to get hes body but andy would'nt let that happen, so these were okay.
