Awesome January 6, 2009 Lee H. (GA, USA) The Batman Beyond series is beyond awesome!! One of the best TV DC Comics ever! My whole family loves it, from my husband to my teenage son, and younger!
Better with age. November 8, 2008 Greg Stones (Greenville, RI USA) The more I watch this show on DVD, the more I like it. Great animation, designs, stories, and characters. They don't make animated shows like this anymore.
The BEST SEASON of BATMAN BEYOND. October 19, 2008 C. Martinez After watching the first, GREAT season of Batman Beyond I was hoping Season 2 would give me more of what I wanted. I was hoping it would be at least just as good. But not only was season 2 exactly what I was hoping for but in a way it was better. In the first season you were introduced to Terry and to an old Bruce Wayne, but season two focuses more on Terry and his relantionships with his friends and his family and that is a BIG plus. I read some reviews, and some people said that was the reason why they thought this season was not as good as the first, because it focused more on Terry's life. But as much as we would all love to see Bruce Wayne as Batman again, this is Terry's show and that's how things should be and I LOVE Batman TAS. But since the second season focuses more on Terry, that makes Season 2 in my opinion superior to season one and three. Season 3 was a HUGE dissapointment for me. Overall there are tons of great episodes in season 2. Out of the 26 episodes, I would say theres 3 that I didnt like so much, those being, Splicers,Terry's friend dates a robot, and Armory. Just because I dislike them doesnt mean their bad, there just mediocre in my opinion, but you might like them. Some of my favorite episodes in no particular order are,Lost Soul,Bloodsport,Once Burned...,Rats,Revenant,Mind Games,April Moon,Where's Terry? and there so many more good episodes. 23/26 is not bad at all. This is stuff well worth your money. So if you liked Season one and if you really care about Terry McGinnis, not just Bruce, then you should check out season two. Theres twice as many episodes and they are just as good as any Batman episode you will ever see. It's ALOT better than The New Batman Adventures. Theres plenty of humor, theres plenty of dark episodes and once again, Im a big Batman TAS fan so i don't like goofy, campy, little kid stuff. I like dark, action packed, sci fi, more grown up stuff and thats what this is. Batman Beyond is great show and I love it just as much Batman TAS. I love science fiction in general and having Batman and sci fi combined is a great treat and that's what this show is. Its just too bad they stop producing episodes.
Batman Beyond Season 2 September 15, 2008 B. Miranda It arrived earlier then expected, I thought some of the episodes were really funny, and it's great for kids, or hardcore Batman fans. Oh and if you feel like a nerd, and your girlfriend, or friends ask you why you bought this cartoon, you could just say I bought for my cousin, or my kid, when they get older. :)
A Good Batman experience September 8, 2008 G. Bennett (Dunedin, New Zealand) Batman Beyond Season 2 was enjoyable to watch. Although if you are expecting a Bruce Wayne type of Batman then you may be a little disappointed. I never really got into this show when it was airing in my country of New Zealand, mainly cause they used the stupid title Batman of the future, a dumb name like that can put some people off a show. It is done by Bruce Timm & co (Batman animated Series Team) so though it is a different show it still has that good story element to it. Legendary Kevin Conroy is also back to play elderly Bruce Wayne. This version of Batman is set about 50 years later from the previous Batman series where an elderly Bruce Wayne has teamed up with a young hot shot Teenager called Terry McGinnis. Bruce and Terry don't start well after Terry steals the Bat suit to bring justice to the crooks who killed his father. This new Bat suit is choc full of gadgets to help Terry along with a communicator and video link built in so Bruce can keep track of him. So to rap things up this is a show that enhances your Batman experience, different enough from previous Batmans making it a worth while purchase.
