    2 out of 5 stars Overrated   November 17, 2008
I bought the soundtrack because of all the hype the music in the movie was receiving, and I'm normally not disappointed when I take a chance on an album, but I really was this time. I thought that there might be a problem when I didn't recognize any of the artists featured on the soundtrack. Anyway, the songs as a whole are quite creative and "different." Sadly, though, many of them are also dull. I literally almost fell asleep while listening. The first few songs are solid. Everything else after that is just okay. I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard that the songs work well with it. Maybe that's the case, and so maybe people should just see the movie and pass on this boring assortment of songs.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent review of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist Soundtrack   November 16, 2008
I loved the movie, and when I saw it, I knew that I had to have the soundtrack. I liked the affordable price Amazon listed the soundtrack as, compared to higher prices of other stores. The soundtrack is amazing, it's very unique and a lot of fun to listen/dance/sing to!

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful Album   November 16, 2008
This is a very enjoyable album. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants quality music that is slightly off the mainstream. In that way, the Nick & Norah soundtrack is a great primer for the indi music scene in New York and a few other places. And the fact that it comes in vinyl only helps it hold true to the spirit of the movie. Great music from a great movie.

5 out of 5 stars More infinite playlist, please   November 13, 2008
Great array of material by Indie artists. Nicely balanced, with just the right amount of over the top energy, countered by more acoustic material. Don't be afraid of unfamiliar band names! The music speaks loudly, and softly for itself. Even the most familiar artist, Vampire Weekend, does a tasty rejoinder to their self-titled debut album. Highly recommend!

5 out of 5 stars Great mix CD if you love the movie   October 14, 2008

If you love the movie, as I do, this is a very nice compliment to it. Yes it misses a song or two, but it captures the movie. If you have not seen the movie, I would not buy the CD yet. Even if you have seen the movie, it is worth checking out all the songs on Amazon. I initially though only about half the songs were strong but the more I listen to it, the more I realize all are strong. The fun part is discovering new bands, like Army Navy, which released its first CD today.
